Tent floors and carpets

For longer camping stays, High Peak recommends using a groundsheet with all tents. This keeps the tent floor clean and protects it from abrasion and damage. The carpet pad also acts as an insulating layer to protect against the cold ground. To prevent rainwater from collecting between the tent floor and the carpet pad, the carpet pad should be covered by the entire tent. To make the inside of the tent more comfortable and cozy, High Peak also recommends the use of a custom-fit tent carpet. Alternatively, you could also use a picnic blanket with the appropriate dimensions.
